Emmert Turtleback Patternmaker's Vise $750
|
Patternmaker's woodworking vise in excellent, used condition. If you're serious about buying an Emmert, you already know how it works and why it's the most sought after vise in the world for woodworking. If you don't know, there are several excellent web sites that will help you understand why anybody in their right mind would consider spending over $700 for a vise.
This vise is a standard Type T2 with a Type T4 or T5 cover with a fairly low serial number. The cover has the nicer elongated front spindle hole in the turtleback cover, and says "Emmert's Pat Aug 11, 1891 and April 11 05 USA" on the cover. USA is below the spindle. There is no writing on either the left or right side of the Type T2 front vise jaw. There is the number 13 on the left rear side of the back vise jaw casting.
Everything works the way it should on this vise. The vise functions perfectly and has a very nice patina to it. I personally removed it from a workbench in a patternmaker's shop here in Connecticut. It appears complete with all needed parts, brackets, etc. A truly rare find!
The vise jaws measure 6 7/8" tall x 18 3/8" long.
DON'T MISS THIS GREAT DEAL ON A FANTASTIC VISE!
